First, the build cost of a iPhone is probably very small compared to the sell price. Then the labor is probably a small factor in the build cost. And even then, companies are learning that manufacturing onshore doesn’t carry the cost penalty it appears to on the surface. Lots of hidden or unexpected costs to make stuff over there, plus more strenuous quality control needed.
