Everyone should re-read 1984 and prepare themselves to be amazed at the parallels.
Orwell’s understanding of people, power is simply unparalleled. He understood what people would do take power, maintain power and silence opposition better than anyone.
His stories are still relevant since human nature hasn’t changed.

I make it a point to read 1984 and Animal Farm once a year. Then I note how closer we get to it. Thanks for the reminder to get them out again.
