Their votes have to be approved by Congress on January 6th. Congress has never disapproved of a vote of the Electoral College, but they could. So with both the House of Representatives and the Senate firmly in Republican hands, in this case, this theft isn’t going to happen.

I can understand electors “voting their conscience” if it won’t matter - just like my wasted vote in Washington State when I wrote in my neighbor rather than Romney. (I had hopes for Trump in WA - silly me!)

I wonder though if any of these guys in WA (I think there are two Dems in WA that won’t vote for Clinton) - if Clinton was leading by one electoral vote - would they still not vote for her - and let Trump win? I doubt it.

I was wondering what would happen if a president-elect was found guilty of some terrible crime after they were elected. What would happen? Would the electoral college vote their conscience? Or just let the VP become the president? Of course not much of a time-frame for that to happen.

Unless it was Clinton!
