Ok, I appreciate your sincere effort, I really do. But nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are on solid Scriptural ground by judging the political leanings of our fellow man. You can do that all you want and label it whatever you want, but you may as well be putting yourself up on a pedestal while you’re at it.

It’s not our right to judge another person’s salvation by looking at their political leanings. Do so at your own peril, but sin is sin. Judging your fellow man is just as sinful as any sin you may be thinking that a Democrat-leaning person is committing.

Pardon my bluntness. I’ve just never met anyone who claimed that a person’s salvation is dependent on his political viewpoints. Just wow.

Have a great weekend. I really don’t have anything else to say about this.

I really, really hate it when people pull that bogus crap. We are all required to make moral judgments. It’s not optional. And yet some people try to put those who oppose their beliefs in the wrong with this “putting yourself on a pedestal” nonsense.

Perhaps you are incapable of making a moral judgment based on the Bible and the collected wisdom of 2000 years of Christian thought without putting yourself on a pedestal. I don’t know. But most people are capable of doing it with at least a modicum of humility.

“It’s not our right to judge another person’s salvation by looking at their political leanings.”

Of course no one knows the state of another man’s soul. That’s basic.

We have, though, received some principles from God. “Don’t murder people,” for instance. You don’t have to be Thomas Aquinas to figure out that voting for politicians who support abortion is offensive to God. You don’t have to be Saint Pius X to realize that voting for politicians who support sodomite play-pretend marriage is offensive to God. You don’t have to be very bright at all to realize that virtually the entire demonrat platform is offensive to God.

You certainly don’t have to be on any kind of a pedestal to understand that people who support and promote killing babies, the abomination of homosexuality, fornication, adultery, divorce, and the welfare state are playing fast and loose with their souls.

“Do so at your own peril, but sin is sin. Judging your fellow man is just as sinful as any sin you may be thinking that a Democrat-leaning person is committing.”

So, you really believe that, to God, jaywalking is as bad as anally raping a child? That’s some weird God you believe in.

As Wolfgang Pauli said, “Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch.” (That is not only not right, it is not even wrong.) You asked me before where you should start. At this point I would recommend a course with the words “remedial theology” in the name.

“Pardon my bluntness. I’ve just never met anyone who claimed that a person’s salvation is dependent on his political viewpoints. Just wow.”

You act as though leftist “viewpoints” are a legitimate competing ideology that a decent person can embrace and remain a decent person. That is not the case. Leftism is evil, and evil in any of its manifestations should never be allowed to masquerade as a “responsible opposing viewpoint” to good.

If you support abortion, you are not a decent person and your prospects for reaching Heaven are not looking good. Ditto any of the sodomite abominations, and even the welfare state.

In the eternal battle between Good and Evil, leftards are fighting on the side of evil, and if you don’t understand that their opposition to God’s laws affects their salvation, well, just wow.

“I really don’t have anything else to say about this.”

That is a blessing, but you certainly do have a lot to figure out about this.
