Oh my. I’ve been firmly against Cruz for AG.
In light of this story, I need to rethink my opposition.
If, in fact, Cruz is being ‘interviewed’ for A-G — a position that often gets consideration for the high court — it means that Trump already has a pick in mind to fill Scalia’s seat, and that Cruz is effectively in the on-deck circle. If he’s A-G, it will be only for as long as Ruth Ginsburg continues to draw a breath.
Cruz in the AG spot would be epic. I’d be munching on popcorn just laughing my head off for the next 4 years.
