enator Ted Cruz surfaced as a possible nominee for US attorney general Tuesday night, following a meeting with President-elect Donald Trump in Manhattan. A Cruz spokeswoman did not confirm nor explicitly deny the reports, telling telling Bloomberg, Cruz is focused on serving Texans in the Senate. He was there today to offer help in promoting the conservative policies that were campaigned on and that hes long fought for.
Its those exact policies that should raise significant alarm about his potential nomination as attorney general. Throughout his failed presidential campaign, Cruz promised to focus law-enforcement efforts on abortion groups, Muslims, and other perceived political enemies and out-groups.
As he crisscrossed the country, Cruz would often begin his stump speech by outlining his first day as president. After promising first to rip up all of President Obamas executive orders, Cruz would pledge that The second thing I intend to do on the first day in office is instruct the US Department of Justice to open an investigation into Planned Parenthood and these horrible videos.
Taken at his word, it is fair to conclude Cruz would do the same thing as head of the Department of Justice. He is referring to the videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress, a radical anti-choice group, which purported to show Planned Parenthood officials making deals to sell fetal tissue for profit. The videos were deceptively edited, and widely discredited. Its legal and commonplace for entities to sell human tissue for research purposes, and it only becomes illegal if they turn a profitwhich Planned Parenthood didnt do. The unedited version of the tapes repeatedly captured Planned Parenthood officials saying they did not intend to make any extra money from the sales.

I am totally ok with whatever Trump decides. He can take the measure of a man quite capably.
If, in fact, Cruz is being ‘interviewed’ for A-G — a position that often gets consideration for the high court — it means that Trump already has a pick in mind to fill Scalia’s seat, and that Cruz is effectively in the on-deck circle. If he’s A-G, it will be only for as long as Ruth Ginsburg continues to draw a breath.
Janice Rogers Brown would be higher on my list for SCOTUS but that’s probably asking for the moon.
No Lyin’ Ted! The man has proven himself to be a snake.
I like that idea.
Janice Rogers Brown is no longer young. We need someone young so that we can hopefully forget it.
The libs just cannot wrap their minds around the fact that it’s not about the money it is about the morality.
When I think of Ted Cruz, the word “smarmy” comes to mind.
All the more reason to support him.
...He’s very close to Glen Beck....
Glen Beck had a very “traumatic” breakup with Ted after an interview with him and apparently hasnt uttered his name in weeks.
Nonsense. He’ll stick with the rule of law as his mentor, William Rehnquist, did.
.
When I think of idiots that foolishly attack Cruz, slimey, and fetid come to mind.
.
How stupid are these people? They tell us who they’re most afraid of, which is like a magnetic pointer for conservatives to root for that person.
Not likely.
You addressed you post to the wrong person. I think we’ll probably be good with any of the people on Trump’s list, although from what little I know, Diane Sykes sounds really good. She ruled that shooting ranges cannot be banned in Chicago because they are protected under the Second Amendment, which is a very good sign.
NO CRUZ.
We will see.
Are you thinking we have No One else qualified for the position than a Lyin’ Snake Charmer. Maybe Gleen Beck. Ya. Gleen Beck. Thats the ticket.
Glenn Beck won’t be running...
What state are you voting in?
Excellent endorsement
Michigan.
