COLUMBIA -- Lt. Gov. Henry McMaster told The Post and Courier on Wednesday that he and Gov. Nikki Haley are being considered for cabinet positions in the administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
McMaster said Haley is being considered for several cabinet posts including secretary of state. McMaster, one of Trumps earliest statewide political endorsers, said the daughter of Indian immigrants could provide a fresh set of eyes of foreign affairs.
He said the Trump campaign is looking at him as attorney general, and that he has been speaking with the transition team.

I thought John Bolton was pretty good. I’m sure there were some good people in the Bush admin.
And why not Ron Reagan?
Please, please not corrupt Nikki Haley.
Tha fact that this putz is saying this tells me he isn’t under serious consideration. I don’t think PE Trump would be pleased with a loudmouth like this. As far as Haley, this has to be a joke — she’s a total GOPe and part of the GOPe swamp.
Just weird to have a person who believes himself to be in consideration for a post in the administration to announce this. Sounds like he would like to get his name out there as who would have ever heard of him before? After all, that is such an important office. Might even be called on some day if a disaster strikes and the governor is out of state - ala CA....
LOL and make Lindsey Graham Sec. of State. OR just keep Kerry in there.
I like that!
It is a treat to be considered. Trump is passing out the treats.
I sincerely hope not.
I have faith Trump has more sense than this - she is vile treacherous RINO and would stab him in the back at the soonest opportunity.
She offers nothing.
Trump needs a cabinet or largely loyalists, and those he can control, i.e. Priebus.
