Perhaps the Obama administration will be remembered as a 95-yard kickoff return that was fumbled at the opponent’s goal line ... and then was picked up by the kicking team and run back the other way for a TD.

Fumigate the place before killing the alligators and then pull the plug of the swamp.

" Agencies do NOT "enact" anything. "

Actually they do. Congress is so lazy they write legislation authorizing the Depts. to write their own administrative law.

It's totally sick.

Dozens... I will bet he eliminates EOs from the last few decades... that will give the press plenty of things to decry while he punches through the bureaucracy. I would do everything I could to distract and derail the enemy press. That is by far the easiest and fastest way of doing it .

The GopE will be stronger if they get Trump to fail

That's an interesting subject. Is it possible the GOPe creates an opposing cabal? Sure it is. I expect it. But this is why the appointment of Rinse Prius was effective as a potential bridge to Ryan and the GOPers.

I'd presume like Reagan, Trump will make his case first to The People, and preempt any rogue drama queen GOPe legislators. They will be framed as obstructionist, working against the wishes of The People.

You can bet the house that Donald Trump will effectively use the bully pulpit to communicate much like The Gipper.

Great idea. Effective in more ways than one. Submit it to Trump's online Suggestion Box.

Was from the battle of Bannockburn where the English were smacked down, or am I mistaken?

Wow! That is the best news I’ve had since the election returns!

One of the biggest problems in the US government is the way in which executive agencies have replaced Congress as the place where substantive legislation is made. Justice Thomas writes about this often, and questions the Constitutionality of Federal administrative law.

Using this tool, President Trump could single-handedly cure this problem. Let him void out not only the heinous administrative regulations promulgated by the Obama administration, but even good ones from the past that lie more in the domain of legislation. By doing this, he would force Congress to exercise its authority rather than delegating its responsibilities to the Executive Branch.

I love it!

The article says it is not just executive orders. This rule also applies to regulations promulgated by Executive agencies.

Also, effective use of this law will force congress to work with the President in a cooperative fashion, and this is good, in my opinion. It will force Ryan and McConnell to man up.

Tempting your enemy onto a narrow bridge where an attempt by them to retreat will cause chaos is a winning strategy for sure.
