Electors should enjoy the same type of legal privacy that grand jury members do.

Why? They are elected officials. Why doesn't the right to petition for redress of grievances apply to contacting this set of elected officials? Which public officials should it be illegal to contact?

Since when? Nobody elected the electors. While state laws determine how electors are chosen, they are generally selected by the political party committees within the states -- who are completely non-governmental organizations.

You don't know what you are talking about.
