What's notable to me here is that President-elect Trump apparently didn't kick out all the other diners at the restaurant. In fact on local radio it's being reported that the diners gave him a standing ovation.
What a contrast to what Obama did whenever he and Michelle wanted to eat out. The Secret Service not only towed away all cars parked near the restaurant (with no forewarning to the owners), but they kicked out all other diners who were enjoying their meals.
It may be understandable that the Secret Service thought these measures were necessary. What wasn't necessary, however, was for the imperious Barack and Michelle to impose themselves in the first place, just to gratify a whim for gourmet food in some trendy spot.
I’d think Trump went out of his way to make disruption be a minimum. As diners with reservations arrived, he asked the SS to accommodate them. Donald is a noble VIP, not a stuck up one.
