Why is this just now being reported, the original reports date back to June 2016?
Because the news, as such, is not being reported in a timely manner and in this case an ally of the USA was the reported villain. Due to PC speech and our not wishing to speak badly or poorly or honestly of Islam and attitude of Muslims toward anything, it took a long time to get out into the broader world.
It is something like the true voter tallies is this last election where illegal votes are just now being tabulated. At least 3 million more votes to Trump, I would guess, as I can’t imagine any illegal voting for Trump.
