I just did a cursory websearch - all stories on dead security dogs in Kuwait I see are from June 2016 or later.

So question is how long has it really been going on. I can see if an animal goes rogue, but not other wise.
I cried my eyes out when I had to put down 2 of mine for wide spread cancer. Vet thought Rock only had a kidney stone he couldn’t pass, when she opened him up the cancer was so wide spread, it would have been cruel to even wake him up. I’d already said goodbye just in case, told her just to let the anesthesia let him go with out pain of waking up. We have a 17 yr old that is nearing that stage. As long as he can move and is continent we keep him as healthy as we can.
It would have only been cruel if they would have made the dogs wear underwear on the dogs heads and they laughed at them...
I’m a bit surprised myself. If someone had asked me beforehand, I would’ve guessed it happened a year or two ago. Weird.

From what I can tell, the US Military considers K9s “munitions” not creatures, and kills them rather than bringing them home.
They don’t want to expose the dog population here to anything they might have picked up abroad. Then there is matter of their training; some of these are guard dogs and trained to attack humans.
I find this very tragic. I am sure most K9s would find loving homes in the US that could accommodate them and their needs.
Yes, you are correct. Thanks for putting the focus back on what really matters here. Those “cultures”...aren’t any at all.
