WASHINGTONAnother round of staff changes buffeted President-elect Donald Trumps transition team Tuesday amid resistance from within the Republican Party over a top choice for secretary of state.
Vice President-elect Mike Pence formally signed documents that put him in charge of the transition team, and officials insisted the 10-week effort to build an administration is on schedule. In one of his first moves, Mr. Pence ordered the removal of all lobbyists from the transition team, said one transition team member with knowledge of the decisions.
Earlier Tuesday, former Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers, once considered a candidate to lead the Central Intelligence Agency, was ousted from the Trump transition teams national security unit. Matthew Freedman, who was leading the groups planning for the White House National Security Council, also departed. Mr. Freedman didnt return messages seeking comment.
Mr. Rogers was told he was being replaced because everyone who was brought in by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the transition teams original chairman, was being ousted, according to a person familiar with the conversation. Frank Gaffney, a Reagan administration veteran, was brought in to assist on national security issues, as has GOP U.S. Reps. Pete Hoekstra and Devin Nunes.

The establishment can go sh** in their hats. Especially the OB WSJ hacks.
“Mr. Rogers was told he was being replaced because everyone who was brought in by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the transition teams original chairman, was being ousted, according to a person familiar with the conversation.”
Huh? Was Christie doing THIS POORLY?
Sounds like Christie screwed the pooch. Love to read they ran out all the lobbyist.
The ties to ‘bridgegate’ look rather swampy.
Apparently so (eyebrows raised)
Mike Rogers is bad news...his wife’s security firm hired terrorists to defend the embassy in Benghazi....Trumpence need to distance themselves
Kind of fascinating to watch.
This narrative that Trump’s transition is in Disarray? Ignore it.
My thinking is nothing is believable unless published via Breitbart.
Only known by those behind the scenes...My guess is that Trump knows exactly what he’s doing....
I’ve heard Chris Christie ran the transition team like he ran NJ, filling positions with his friends and cronies, setting himself up with IOU’s for later. Very corrupt. Trump found out and blew a gasket.
“What prompted questions about Rogers and his fitness for the new administration? Many of the CIA officers who survived the Benghazi attack have loudly opposed the Rogers report since it was released, particularly objecting to the report’s claim that no CIA officer on the ground in Benghazi was told to “stand down” from a rescue attempt... “

Well this answers a lot of questions I had...
Wondered why Christie was replaced, thought maybe it was something else, you screw the pooch you get booted, especially by Trump...kinda think Trump knows Christie a little more than we knew...
Mike Rodgers, that one I couldn’t figure out until the last sentence, then it made sense...a hill bot, and we know that isn’t going to work...
Trump is a good man, an honest man and he made us a promise and he is following through on it...and so far Pence is a good man...we have a good team going...
I would guess he got caught lying to Donald.
Was he not additionally on the committee that investigated Benghazi and whitewashed Clinton and Obama?
A sign of hope? Hope so......no more establishment types. People may say then why did Trump select Priebus? My answer would be that he wants legislation to move in Congress, if he tried to be confrontational and antagonist from the onset then that relationship with McConnell and Ryan would sour and he has very little political capital even with a Republican Congress to get his major needs done. Priebus is a go between since he has a working relationship with both McConnell and Paul Ryan
Buh bye, Mr. Rogers. He became a pocket lining Unipartyist with age. Sadly.
