Sorry, but I grew up in Chicago. The pizza in CT is awful unless you can find Greek style.

I went to college in Chicago, and worked making Chicago-style pizza as a cook for the Eduardo's on 57th street, so I am familiar with the type. I have also been to Uno's, Gino's, Connie's, Home Run Inn, Medici, Giordano's and a bunch of unknowns like Pizza King. The Best Pizza in Chicago is Piece Pizza on North Avenue. There they have New Haven Style Pizza, and it is competently done.
The feminist pizzas of Chicago are a heretical 1940s rogue aberration. If you haven't been to Sally's or Modern in New Haven, you should try to develop a more cultured palette on the matter when you are in CT. You might also read Levine's "A Slice of Heaven", which provides the prevailing view on pizza in various regions of the country.
The real Greek food in Chicago (The Parthenon is my go-to place) is unbeatable, but they don't pretend to make pizza.
