That’s what I though until someone said something about holding your enemies close. Makes sense. Priebus can make real trouble but is opportunistic also and will take a job in the enemy’s house. He will not be Trump’s handler in in the Jarrett MB mold. I shall wait and see what becomes of this. It is a tactic and does not show any poor judgment on Donald’s part. His judgment is something I learned after grimacing a few times, not to question.

You can’t be serious. You don’t make your enemy your Chief of Staff. Period. You make them Secretary of State.

Obama’s Chief of Staffs were Rahm Emanuel, Pete Rouse, Bill Daley, Jack Lew and Denis McDonough.

Other than Rahm, who’s heard of any of these guys? Doesn’t seem like it’s that influential a position. And in Obama’s case, they don’t last very long. Reagan had 4 of them too. Including icons of American democracy like one Kenneth Duberstein.
