Civil rights groups, Democrats and some Republicans on Monday denounced President-elect Trumps decision to appoint Stephen K. Bannon to a top White House position, warning that he represents nationalist and racist views that should be rejected by the incoming president.

The nice thing about Trump is that he won with Steve Bannon. Steve was not a secret. He was in charge. So The New York Times cannot shame Trump away from Steve. We voted for Trump with Steve. And we would be mad if Steve was not part of the plan. If Trump won with a person or an idea, he is immune to criticism on that person or idea.
That being said, Trump should not start to push issues that he did not repeat in the general election. At least for the first year, he should stick to those issues that he ran on and repeated over and over again. The Wall needs to happen. Obama care needs to radically change or disappear. But other issues like attacking the department of education is not really a priority. Not that its not a good idea, lets show that we do what we say. Next year, we can create a new agenda for the mid-terms.
The talentless democrats have about as much power as a feather in a tornado.
I hope and pray they get treated like the sh!t stain they are.
“Has that old ding bat Pelosi been spewing any of her typical non-sense lately, she has been awfully quiet for her usually mouthy self.”
Her broom has been in for service!
You nailed it.
“This really is a replay of 1980. Everything they say about Trump hey also said about Reagan. Everything they are saying about Trumps appointments, they said about Reagans.”
Yes, Pelosi is talking. But nobody is listening.
The Times is jealous. This gives Breitbart a huge legitimacy boost. Next thing you know they will have a reporter on every trip Trump takes, with the NYT relegated to poor coverage,
This is as it should be after the Times admits they had biased coverage throughout the election. Well boys, actions have consequences.
The Times never said they would try to atone for their sins by overbalancing favorable coverage for conservatives until they felt they had righted the tilt in public opinion they generate. No, they just said they would “try” to have more even coverage.
Bannon is actually not so great for us. He’s one of those Alt-righters who takes inordinate pride in being ‘pro-gay.’ For some reason, this infuriates the left even more than conservative purists. (Hillary, if you recall, unleashed a venomous denunciation of the alt-right.)
Maybe the Left is afraid the alt-right is co-opting one of their strongest areas of support?
Who knows.
New York Times’ commitment to objective journalism expired with today’s hit piece.
They just can’t help themselves.
Trump’s entire campaign run had political terrain far worse than this...just another day for Trump.
Thanks for posting this link. This destroys the liberal lies about Bannon.
“John Weaver,...a Republican strategist who ran the presidential campaign of Gov. John Kasich”
If he is smart, he will remove that particular bullet from his resume.
“Exactly! Obama filled the WH and the government with Cloward and Piven, Saul Alinsky, red diaper communist radicals and radical Muslims! They can go STUFF IT!!!”
And isn’t it wonderful that all they ended up doing is put the country on hold for eight years! The inability and unwillingness to work with Congress means that all this E/O crap will be gone with another stroke of the pen in less than six weeks. Plus thousands who have been “making a living” in DC will be packing up to go look for real jobs elsewhere in the country! As Trump pares down and eliminates jobs in the bureaucracy, I look forward to real reductions in the cost of our government.
In Obama’s own words.......
“ Elections have consequences!!!”
It may be best for these people to reconsider their pledge to leave America if TRUMP won the election.
John Weaver?
What was it that his boss Steve Schmidt said the other day?
Oh yeah - Trump will lose.
Why one should never entertain advice from the GOP political consultant class.
Their first advice is to curl up in front of the MSM and to apologize.
Good thing Trump has shown them up as the Emperor Without Clothes.
“warning that he [Stephen K. Bannon] represents nationalist and racist views that should be rejected by the incoming president.”
“Racist” views—i.e., a white guy who refuses to abjectly apologize for being white.
When Trump appoints David Clark and other good blacks to his cabinet and power positions, the left wingers will go even more ballistic.
