Sorry, the M60s were the final dead end for the Patton series. The 1973 Yom Kippur War showed serious crew survivability problems with those tanks.

When I was at Fort Riley back in the mid 80s, the tankers on post were dying for the M1s to show up. They couldn’t wait to get rid of the M60s
