President-Elect Donald Trump Selects Reince Priebus as White House Chief of Staff…

The best frame of reference for people to filter this decision is the VP selection process when Mr. Trump selected Governor Mike Pence.  A similar set of decision making principles apply.   WARNING – new words again.

trump-preibus-2

Traditionally (<– key word) the White House Chief of Staff is the liaison between the President and the various affiliated professional political types who wish to engage with the President.

However, Donald Trump is his own organizational person.

Little research and analysis has ever been given to how small the Trump circle is despite his massive private sector business operations.  This is one of those aspects entirely obvious to those who know the private sector, yet brutally overlooked by those talking heads entrenched in the beltway.

The Trump organization is massive in scope and scale, yet he ran the entire operation with only a few very tight inner-circle influences.   He is able to do this because Trump is simply a master of complex organizational dynamics.  The granules are in charge of the granular, and yet directly connected to the top of the pyramid.

Trump’s operational executive model is very familiar to some who understand the most effective construct within massive organizations.

Methinks this is a big mistake.

He’s chosen pajama boy’s bigger brother.

Oh well, what can we do?

Perhaps we’ll get the pleasure of hearing Trump say “You’re fired” sometimes in the near future.

I think Trump needs allies to get done what he needs to get done. Priebus will help him immensely, instead of butting heads with congress every step of the way. I think.

But I think it’s a huge 180 from draining the swamp to hiring Priebus as Chief of Staff.

Reinhold Priebus has an impressive resume. Trump knows what he is doing. Besides nothing is written in stone. Management is fluid.

It could be a mistake. But guess what job is now open and guess who will have input on the new RNC head? If the new RNC head is a RINO weasel, we’ll know that today’s appointment was a mistake.

From what I saw throughout this campaign, Preibus was loyal to Trump every step of the way. Loyalty is important. I think that’s why he is where he is. Trump trusts him.

Does he benefit by getting Priebus out of the RNC, and then have the ability to remove or neutralize Priebus later?

Few people also understand that despite the size of the Trump empire, there is no corporate headquarters with thousands of employees, he runs a very lean organization that in essence does project and operational management. He and his staff manage the people who do the actual work and know the day-to-day issues inside and out. This is how government should work also - and soon will.

I was never a big fan of Priebus , but Trump sees something in him and that speaks volumes . Priebus had one of the hardest jobs imaginable in this past primary . He came under enormous pressure from the GOPe to stop Trump at all costs, but instead he honored his pledge to be fair to everyone . Priebus also forcefully put down the convention rebellion that the GOPe was attempting against Trump .
Trump rewards loyalty and honor, and it looks like Priebus has been both . I will go with Trump’s judgement on this and Trump hasn’t been wrong yet .
On the flip side , Bannon is going to be chief advisor, which is a dream come true . Trump is doing what he does best and is assembling a dream team that will very effectively advance his agenda . This is going to be awesome with great things to come .

He went thru sr managment in his campaign in a year and a half. He needs a name to get him in good graces with the establishment from now until about 6 months into his Presidency. After that he will change things if need be.

Besides, this gives him some leverage in people he names to Secretary positions and other.

This is key. For those who doubted Preibus' loyalty and Trump's high regard for the man, look no further than his acceptance speech in the wee hours Wednesday.

He actually called Reince to the podium to speak.

Loyalty. Runs both ways.

Let Trump be Trump. So far his instincts have been spot on. I am giving him a wide berth when it comes to decisions. He has earned it for me anyway.

Well, there goes my dream of driving Ryan and Rinsed Penis so far from office that the best job they could get was part time making soft serve cones for Chicago tourists.

If Trump is going to trust him, I guess Ill keep my mouth shut for now.

I hope roast Ryan is still on the menu.

Interesting article basically they set up parallel groups ..a Tactical team and a Strategic team

Priebus as chief of staff he’s in charge of the Tactical ...the day-to-day Tactical Team but he has no strategic planning... he’s the office manager. He does not pick the targets he simply organizes the troops to bomb the target pick.by the strategic group

Bannon is in charge of strategy the Strategiy planing of the goals

Perfect analysis. Bannon picks the targets, he’s running the show. I love the strategy.

Brilliant move. Gives the President elect untroubled control of the RNC to put his people in charge. Priebus is in gatekeeper role for establishment contact with the Prez, a perfect placement for his talents. Bannon, not Priebus, is in policy role with Bannon overseeing Priebus. VERY smooth.
