As the media pushes the narrative that Donald Trump creates bullies, I see multiple articles on how to talk to children about the election results. What message would you tell parents to give their children?

“Well, Timmy. Here’s the thing. Sometimes the bad, bad people lose and the good guys win.”
Kiddies,
Once upon a time the USA had a president who hated you because you are White. Yes, he brought in thousands of people hoping to replace you with them. You see, they have babies a lot more than mommy and daddy, because mommy and daddy have to work hard to pay taxes to pay for the people who don’t work and who can have a lot of babies with mommy’s and daddy’s money.
Mommy, who was Hillary Clinton?
She was somebody who wanted to be president since she was in college, but was not a very nice person, and so she lost the election.
He has 5 children-——like me.
.
My daughter was Trump supporter long before I was. No joke.
Their chance to decide how long to extend that delay will come soon enough. Choose wisely, munchkins.
Step one, buy and read all the Rush Revere books.
Step two, read them to your children or have them read them themselves.
Step three, tell the kiddies,”see this is what you need, it is how it is. I told you so.”
Tell them to study him and maybe they will grow up to be successful and giving, too.
“Now that Donald Trump is going to be President, you may have a brighter future, living in a free country where you can have a good job with good pay and live a better life when you grow up”
Does that work?
Johnny, Julie- There was an election last tuesday, and a man named Donald Trump won for president.
What’s so hard?

Same phenomena here when Al Franken ran against Norm Coleman for senator. Pro-Coleman mailers had quotes from Franken (nasty and vulgar). Coleman was lambasted for putting it out there for kids to see. Apparently no one on the left had any problem with the fact that Franken actually said those things.
Completely irrational.
My 15 yr old grandson Loves TRUMP! His grandma taught him dems are evil.
My children took my explanation of Trump’s triumph well enough, but the dog still doesn’t understand.
Start with this: An honest man who speaks the truth.
Anything about explaining to your daughter in the grocery store women’s room, why there is a 300 pound man in the stall next to her.
Awesome! My 21 year old daughter was a Trump supporter before I was also.
My husband was mostly a stay at home dad. We raised her that she could do and be anything in life. It really angers her to think her decisions should be made based on gender. It’s very insulting.
On a side note, my new women crush is Kellyanne. She should be a role model for all little girls.
Should be easy. He is replacing incompetent people. They have failed the class work and exams.
If you have to “explain Donald Trump to your children”, the problem isn’t with Trump nor the children.
The problem is with the ones around them who shape their fears. Their parents, their teachers, their friends parents, the shows they watch on TV. etc.
I’ve never met a child that is very tuned into politics. I’d say for the most part, don’t say anything to them. Making a big deal about it only draws focus to it.
Hey kids .MAN UP and don’t be a baby.
