Sometimes accents can be hard to pin down.
I was born and raised in the Florida Panhandle by parents whose families had been there since at least the 1700s.
I spent 5 years in Western Kansas. Just about every week or so, someone would ask if I was from Texas.

But, he was born and raised in Sacramento for his first 12 years.
