There is NO evidence that vaccines cause any sort of neurological problem. There is NO physical mechanism that can link a vaccine to the nervous system.
I find that anti-vax fear-mongers count on their targets to know little or nothing about vaccines or the immune system.
The fact is that kids are exposed to countless thousands of microorganisms every day, and their immune systems respond more than adequately. Adding another handful of antigens to that dose of thousands that a child is already exposed to on a daily basis is scarcely a burden on the immune system. Or, to put it this way: you are on the way home from the pediatrician after your child receives three vaccines. Your child finds an attractive rock on the ground and pops it into his mouth before you can stop him. How many antigens do you think your kid ingested with the rock, versus received with the vaccines?
That “study” that allegedly showed that MMR vaccine causes autism was pure fraud motivated by greed, and was debunked years ago. Substituting vague neurological issues for autism and generalizing the supposed harm to occur from vaccines rather than the MMR vaccine specifically does not make the claim any more plausible than when that fraud published his fake study over a decade ago. There is no mechanism by which vaccines can act on the brain to cause brain damage. For one thing, they are not injected into the brain, but into muscle in the arm, or can be given orally or nasally. The body reacts to vaccines just like it does any other protein: it immediately begins to destroy them. One challenge with vaccination is to stabilize the proteins long enough for the body to mount an immune response.
The immune response itself does not cause brain damage. If it did, every child would be brain damaged. The fact is that conditions such as ADHD, autism, mental retardation, schizophrenia, etc., etc., are caused by complex genetics, through the interactions of networks of variant genes. No child’s genetic profile can be changed by vaccines administered months or years after the original sperm and egg fused to form the child’s genome. Vaccines cannot travel through time.
Last, the fact that people can get sick even if they have been vaccinated is not “proof” that vaccines do not work. People get sick when they have been exposed to a threshold number of pathogenic microorganisms, normally called the “infectious dose.” If the normal infectious dose is 100,000 organisms, the vaccine might increase it to 1,000,000 organisms. Thus, the vaccinated person does have increased resistance to the disease because of the vaccine, but still can get the disease with a high enough exposure. With rabies, for example, the disease is so deadly that even if you have been vaccinated and you are exposed through a rabid animal bite, you still have to be treated for rabies. With other diseases, the fact that you have been vaccinated will decrease the severity of the disease and decrease the possibility of lifelong disability resulting from the disease.

That scumbag Paul Offit, who is on your side, once said that it was safe to administer 10,000 vaccines to an infant in one doctor visit. Do you agree with him? What is the safe dose of aluminum for a 7LB baby? And mercury? And aborted fetal tissue?
