A Change.org petition asking the Electoral College to elect Hillary Clinton instead of Donald Trump has garnered over 2 million signatures. The petition states that Trump is unfit to serve, and that because Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, she should be president.
We are calling on the Electors to ignore their states' votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton. Why?
Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic.
Secretary Clinton WON THE POPULAR VOTE and should be President.
Hillary won the popular vote. The only reason Trump "won" is because of the Electoral College.
But the Electoral College can actually give the White House to either candidate. So why not use this most undemocratic of our institutions to ensure a democratic result?

Electoral College is in Constitution but there have been a couple instances of faithless electors changing votes (88,one voted for Bentsen not Dukakis).Any effort to wipe out the EC in the future would involve a Constitutional amendment which a majority of states must approve, after passing Congress by two thirds.”Red” or swing states may not go for it.It can’t be changed by executive order or Congressional action (solely).The odds of the results being changed are great.But anything can happen..look at all the pundits who predicted Trump wouldn’t even get the nomination....So far a move for the National Popular Vote has been approved by some states, none of them battleground.One alternative is the Maine method,awarding by Cong. Dist then giving 2 votes to winner of the state overall.Thus the result was Clinton 3,Trump 1.(And actually if ME used other method it would have been Clinton 4,Trump 0)

There is no reason Trump should be President............................ Can we say the same about JFK? Nixon won the popular vote in 60’. Where was the outrage then? Forget it, they wouldn’t understand, Americans were different back then, they hadn’t learned to whine yet, because we were too tough for that.

I read some states do not count all the absentee, early, provisional votes if they are not enough to change totals on election night, but not counting all clearly can sway the popular vote for president, and also can hugely effect state races.
