Yeah, let me tell you about their worthless liberal arts diplomas. I “earned” one of those back in the early 90’s. It was so valuable that I was able to land a job a UPS sorting facility in Louisville, and then decided to pay my huge loans off by enlisting in the Army.
Thankfully, the Army got me on the path of my current career, an RN. Universities are the biggest racket going. They sell huge blocks of student loan debt, indoctrination into a victim culture, and an utterly worthless diploma in a lot of cases. Unless one is going into something that equals to job training, such as Law, medicine, nursing, engineering etc, college is a waste of money. I have encouraged our kids to look into vocational programs. Hell, the HVAC guy that works on my air is doing very well these days. We need more of those guys and not pansified social justice wimps.
I met a young man in his early 20’s awhile back. This kid really has his act together and is working towards being a Master Machinist. He has seen the need for good skilled labor in our country. He has no interest in computer games or any of the crap his peers do. He works for a friend of mine who owns a machine shop and works his ass off. This gives me a glimmer of hope for the future.
