Thank you for your service (I served too, but not in combat), but that does not change the fact that Medicare is going broke and within two decades there will be nothing left to pay what was "promised".

Now if you are in favor of a big tax increase on your kids and grandkids to cover your medical expenses for the rest of your life, you are welcome to say so. But do not pretend that there is some magic pot of money somewhere that will prevent the Medicare trust fund going tits up.

No president will ever leave Medicare recipients in the lurch. If/when it goes broke they'll "fix" it ... via band-aid or dynamite.
