"Kerry gone"

I find it interesting that John (served in Vietnam) Kerry was
was hiding out in a place as far from America as he could get
this election -- Antarctica, the South Pole. He didn't want
anything to do with the election or of campaigning for Hillary.

Obama was forced to campaign for her. Apparently Kerry didn't want his name associated with the Clintons' or the Dems election defeat.

Correct. I suspect Kerry still has presidential ambitions, and wants to keep his powder dry. Given the absence of any other credible democrats, he may think why not? Who else? At least he has his tenure as Secretary of State.
