White guy in black neighborhood accidentally hit a black kid on a bike a year or so ago. He (white guy driver) stopped and was beaten into a coma by the crowd that gathered.

That happened in Detroit. The mob was stopped by a nurse with a pistol. The man barely survived, and has life long severe brain damage and injuries. The kid stepping off the curb was a ruse to get someone to stop.

Not to change the subject too much but I've noticed jaywalking is a serious problem in black neighborhoods. I'm not talking about crossing against a red light when there's no traffic type of jaywalking, either. Here in Jacksonville, where I live, young black men just walk down the middle of the street in heavy traffic, without a care in the world, giving the finger to anyone who honks at them.

We're having a rash of pedestrians hit and killed by cars lately, all black, all jaywalking.
