Good lord, at least they have a Carrier.
France is a country of only 60 Million people, and they’re burdened by socialist debt.
Its not like they have the luxury of printing unlimited fiat money, like the US dollar - the world’s reserve currency -
for now...

4 out of hundreds. The Charles De Gaulle displaces 42,500 tons. The only aircraft carrier fielded in world war II to exceed this was the Shinano, a converted
Yamato class battleship. The Japanese
Kaga was 38,200 tons. The US Lexington class was of similar size. The USS Midway was the first purpose built aircraft carrier to exceed the size of he CDG, but the USS Midway was not operational until after Japan surrendered.
