I remember some FReepers that no longer grace our presence saying that Hillary and trump were in cahoots, because she went to his wedding and he donated to this one and that one and blah, blah, blah.
Some are misinterpreting this.
Hillary picked Trump thinking he was the EASIEST TO BEAT.
They worried about Rubio as another Obama - young, energetic, minority.
They wanted Trump.
They weren’t in ‘co-hoots.’ It was to set up Republicans for a loss.
THE IRONY IS RICH!!
I was worried about the things you mentioned. Before the primaries Trump had me 90% convinced he might be the real deal. I did vote Cruz in the primary here but Trump woulda been my 2nd or 3rd choice of the barage of candidates. For my husband and I, one of the big convincing factors was the number of people we did have some trust in coming out in support of Trump. When he won state after state in the primaries it also became evident that he was CONSISTANT in his message. He didn’t change his tune to convince each demographic. This is a man who could say, “yes, this is my plan, you may not like it but this is how it will benefit you.” Yes, his crowds and momentum were good but his message is what made him good.
By the time the convention rolled around it was wonderful to have a candidate we didn’t have to hold our nose or puke to vote for. Just ticks me off, if people (I mean young impressionable minds mostly) will just listen to what the man says, it is so much better than life under rat hussein.
Now, I’m praying that the younguns experiencing President Trump’s tenure of service will notice how much better liberty can be.
