Well, that could have gone a lot worse.
In the wake of Hillary’s massive, unequivocal, humiliating rejection, I was going to write this column on the critical need for us conservatives to have a big group hug and restore the shattered bonds that should unite us, whether #NeverTrump, #NeverHillary or #IHateEveryone. But that can wait. Right now, I have some savoring to do. Let’s see, we have the executive branch, the legislative branch and we’ll be taking back the judicial branch. The mainstream media is in a state of shock. Liberals are having fits. And the ocean is still rising, as one of my Twitter followers observed, only it’s because of liberal tears.

Yes. Ryan especially. Acting all cozy and friendly now, but I do not trust him. How DARE he snub, then openly oppose, Trump until a week before the election? He could’ve helped, but he chose not to, believing Trump would lose. Now, he wants to board the Trump Train. Frickin’ weasel.

And then I remembered this is Trump we’re talking about.

The Democrat talking heads said that Shrillary spent SO much of her time recruiting the young voters, women Democrats, African-Americans and Hispanics that she FORGOT the HUGE group of her own: male baby boomers, born 1946-1964. The youngsters, women Democrats and minorities DID vote for her, but NOT all the Democrats and not all the adults, you know, those who WORK for a living. [Oops, sorry.] The "forgotten" Democrats voted for TRUMP.
The second reason, both sides said, is that Obama made the election a confirmation of his policies and legacy: BOTH shot down ROYALLY. So even MORE Democrats voted for TRUMP.
Obamacare, border control, immigration were all going to be WORSE with Shrillary and the Democrat middle class simply decided not to pay for it anymore.
The Democrats shot themselves in the foot.
