You should tell your son to tag various sidewalks on campus with sidewalk chalk, congratulating Trump.

Learning to handle disappointment in life is a valuable check on the list of becoming a stronger person. Your son’s teacher sounds like she’s been surrounded by bubble wrap her entire life.
Eight years of Obama made most of us conservatives stronger. We took the blows but fought back with our vote. I think a Trump presidency will have the opposite effect on liberals. They may shatter and lie in a puddle of their own poo waiting for someone to save them.

If you are that weak of a person that this election caused you that much emotional turmoil then under no circumstance should you be an educator of young people. Come back when you grow up.

One thing I find odd: while the liberals recjoice at cheating and flaunting election laws, they all seem to be in to this “peaceful transition of power” mantra.

I thought college professors were supposed to be adults. Adults are capable of dealing with disappointments and move on with the day to day necessities and responsibilities of their profession.

I got a story like this out of my son, who also goes to UMD.
They must be in the same class.

These are tenured Cornell professors. Unlike the adjuncts I’m sure they make six figures.

Bio-chemistry, Pre-pharmacy. But I think the class was a liberal arts elective.

Prof. Jane-Marie Law, Asian, Near Eastern and religious studies, said she cancelled her Introduction to Japan and Religion lecture, because she was so upset and worried I would break down, thinking about how dangerous the move the American electorate half of them made last night is.Prof. Jane-Marie Law, Asian, Near Eastern and religious studies, is not a free-thinker. Rather, she evidently lives a sheltered existence in a bubble of group-think so stultifying that she has never felt the need to develop any critical thinking skills whatsoever.
Surrounded and protected by a strictly-imposed orthodoxy based on a monoculture of acceptable ideology that would make The Stepford Wives seem like freedom, Jane-Marie Law is comfortable in her bigoted world-view with her leftist blinders on, and would never consider doing anything as radical and dangerous as venturing out into the real world where adults can think of and discuss big thoughts.

When the RATS Nazies bombed London the professors held class. What a bunch of craven weaklings we have allowed the teachers to make of our children.
