A number of prominent Republicans who bashed Donald Trump during the election campaign have now come out in support of the President-elect.

Despite dozens within the party stating prior to election day that Trump was fit to be president, most of those critics seemingly fell in line behind their new leader on Wednesday.

Some of Trump's most vocal opponents were among the Republicans to publicly back him in the wake of his stunning triumph - including many who had been beaten to the presidential nomination by the Donald.

Self-preservation of what? Neither one has a role to play in the party anymore regardless of what they say now.

Talk is cheap with the gop-e. Hope Trump doesn’t let them trick him into pursuing bad policy

Jacob K. Javits turned his back on Goldwater in 196 though Goldwater endorsed Javits in 1956 and 1962; Mrs. Bill thought the glass ceiling of the Javits Center in Manhattan would push her to victory Tuesday night.

Barely squeaked by? 306 EVs is NOT “squeaking” in any sense of the word. And that, once more, is a demonstration of the genius of The Framers of our Constitution; The Electoral College prevents rabble in large population centers from easily stealing elections. Why else would the libs be so hell bent on revoking it?

“Boy fights are different than girl fights. Boys fight for victory and at the end of the day, they shake hands and move on, analyze and strategize to win the next fight. Girls, on the other hand, stay mad, angry, and resentful for years. Feminized men, also petty, unforgiving and unable to move forward. Trump will befriend all, but he understands where they stand and what needs done.”

So the co option begins, having failed in battle. Now, to undermine and infiltrate.

These are the enemy within. The Ephialtes, the Quisling, the Tokyo Rose, the Rosenbergs.

The existential, globalist enemies.

Grind their bones to powder.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

- Marcus Tullius Cicero

You must admit that the margins in many swing states were very small and it was truly a nail biter.

Bend the knee, kiss the ring.

Real Game of Thrones stuff.

I am especially amazed at these men of conscience having the nerve to do this after bragging about how they didn’t even vote for him just a few days ago.

Yes....while we were waiting, it was. I think The Almighty kept it close all that while so the Klintoons would keep thinking their cheating would put them over....until it didn’t. Part of the wait was from corrupt media networks refusing to post Trump’s victories as soon as calls were made.

Trump won despite the attempts to sabotage by these traitors and losing those votes yet picked up votes other ways and was successful where they never were. It’s remarkable what he did with what he was up against. Now where do these Never Trumpers think they will pick up votes?!!

He lost votes from nasty sabotaging Republican traitors yet got votes otherwise. They don’t have anywhere near the support now.

They were so sure of ‘conventional wisdom’ they ended up the fools. The Trump card controls the game, and I am enjoying the groveling. I never trusted the cesspool in Washington D.C. and hope an outsider can turn away much of the corruption. The outsider/insider President-elect has put them on notice - He wins!

Proper social manners dictates that the winner be congratulated. I did not vote for Trump (I am not Republican) but still congratulate him on his win.

During this election, I have observed a WHOLE lot of projection on to the candidates, their opposition, their policies etc. Lets not read too much into this. Lets assume that the congratulations was nothing more than conforming to the social norms.
