The protest may not have been directly connected to the protests, but anytime we have our entire police force distracted with managing an unruly crowd like this, other bad actors use it as cover for committing other crimes on the fringe of the chaos. The more important story here is that one of thw Seattle City Councilmembers, Ksharma Sawant, can be seen in this video inciting further protests to shut the city down on Inauguration Day (at 1:52). The woman is a card-carrying Socialist who has made it her job to incite civil unrest and protests (that always result in property damage and some arrests) many times over the past two years. She’s a scourge on society and should be held criminally responsible for inciting riots.
