A new Republican governor in...Vermont!

BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Republican Phil Scott has won the race for governor of Vermont.
Experts had predicted a close race between Scott and Democrat Sue Minter, but as the night went on, Scott’s early lead over Minter held strong.
Minter called Scott late Tuesday to concede. She spoke to her supporters at about 11:15 p.m., thanking them for their support. She first congratulated Scott on his win, saying, “We can disagree without being disagreeable.”
At about 11:30 p.m., Governor-Elect Scott came out to thank his supporters and his team.
