The only poll closing that matters is Alaska which closes 1 am EST. My understanding is they can’t report results until all polls close which would mean nothing until 1 am EST or 10 pm PST.

I believe your understanding is incorrect.

The signs at my polling place in Virginia said the pols are open until 7:00 pm, not 7:30 pm.

I just thought I’d mention it so no one gets caught out by a half-hour.

Results will be posted by state but only after that state’s polls close.

I went this morning at 5:30 and was 13 in line. By the time I got in, voted and left, there were about 200 people in line.

They won't release results in any particular state until all the polls are closed in that state. But state results will start showing up early in the evening. Usually Indiana and Kentucky first, then along the eastern seaboard.

Media reporting of poll/election results from some states before other states’ polls are closed has been deemed prejudicial to the states still open for voting. That is why the media is prohibited from reporting any results until ALL states polls are closed. That is my understanding.

Trump will have an early EV lead with Indiana, Kentucky & Georgia, which all should be called 1 minute after poll closing.

Media will call Virginia immediately for Hitlery and won’t be wrong about that one, unfortunately. Sometimes in the past VA has teased us a bit and made us wait for an outcome, but this time there won’t be any need to be coy about it.

Media may very well repeat 2000 and call Florida for Hitlery with polls still open in western (Republican) areas of the state because it’s going to be THAT close but the media is willing to take the chance of being wrong because the real goal is demoralization in Florida and elsewhere.

New Hampshire either too close to call or is called quickly for Hitlery.

*IF* Trump really is winning North Carolina and Ohio, media will not call those for a long time but may grudgingly call the OH Senate race since that is a slam dunk for RINO Rob Portman.

Media will call Pennsylvania (Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota) immediately for Hitlery or perhaps just a few seconds after “immediately”. All of those were extreme long shots anyway.

The big question is: will all the biased calls and non-calls be accurate or will they have to retract any?

You have apparently never watched election results come in before.

This election will be called way before Alaska (not to mention Hawaii) is finished voting.
