There was nothing like this, rallies, etc. in 2012 with Romney/Ryan, they didn’t have this kind of momentum.

You are right, the 2012 Election homestretch was nothing like this. I remember Romney having some pretty large rallies towards the end but nothing like the 4-5 per day blitz that Trump was doing.

On Election Day itself, we were hoping that the anti-Obama sentiment was enough to get Romney in. Certainly it was more of an anti-Obama as opposed to a pro-Romney sentiment. Turned out it wasn't quite enough.

Not sure the impact of Hurricane Sandy on that election but it was said to have had a big impact. Will never forget how Chris Christie bear-hugged Obama on that beach and practically endorsed him for re-election with all his praise. That was like a kick in the stomach.
