U.S. equities kicked off the week on a high note, opening sharply higher on Monday after the FBI again cleared Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton over her use of a private server. The Dow Jones industrial average quickly rose more than 250 points.
"In terms of the market and its possible response on Wednesday, today's reaction to the FBI news is obvious evidence that market participants have wrapped up the world in a nice and easy box," said Peter Boockvar, chief market analyst at The Lindsey Group.
"Hillary wins, good for stocks. Trump wins, bad for stocks. But, anyone who thinks deeper than this knows that the response is going to be much more nuanced. Ask any owner of a healthcare, financial or defense stock," he said in a note.

Here are the key quotes from the letter I read:
"... we reviewed all of the communications that were to or from Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State".
"Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton".
What I didn't read was:
"We have cleared Hillary Clinton".
"We have shut down our investigation of Hillary Clinton".
"We are not going to bother looking for evidence in the 650,000 emails that weren't sent or received by Hillary Clinton.
So if anyone can point me to that second Comey letter from yesterday please do so. If not found, I'm assuming the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton remains open and active and Comey doesn't believe the Justice Department will prosecute Hillary Clinton based on the evidence found so far. I agree with that.
The market likes stability according to Dem! I hope it’s unstable as s*** midnight tomorrow!-)
Maybe I better sell my stocks today or tomorrow
Trump will win
Stocks crash???
It was all smoke and mirrors. The only reason that Comey announced a new probe into Hillary’s emails is so he could make an announcement clearing her again...the day or two before the election. It was sham. The whole thing.
I'd love to believe that, but this same market immediately dropped like a rock as soon as the "re-opening" of the FBI probe was announced, about 10 days ago, then fell every day until today.
Wall Street fears and loathes Trump.
.
That’s why I got out. It does seem to serving those who stayed in well though.
Until it doesn’t.
My sources say the markets are NOT responding to the FBI at all but to real world numbers showing Trump will win.
I don’t know as I think what he did could work to eithers advantage.
Sent by Hillary Clinton
Or received by Hillary Clinton.
I could do that on my computer in a few seconds.
Don't fall into the MSM trap and read more into Comey's letter than is actually there.
Until I hear otherwise I assume the search for classified data and other things related to Hillary Clinton is alive and well.
In any case there was a question of whom the investment community backs in this election...
This creep is the main reason that I don’t watch Faux Business anymore.
He has been a covert and overt backer of Clintoon before she even officially got into the race.
Supposedly this is bad news for us.
Wall Street is terrified that their gravy train will come to an end.
They believe that the taxpayer subsidizing of the stock market will continue.
She is guilty as hell, but I don't want to die !!!!
That’s what I was thinking since there were no specific charges. Very random, were just going to double check. Rigged it is. Just hopefully there are enough Trump voters to overcome the fraud from the dems.
Nothing to see here. The stock market likes certainty, they know Hillary & are uncertain with TRUMP with all his trade war talks
Come on, they did not have to look at every e mail. They just did a search wherein Hitlery wrote: it is my intent to destroy any incriminating information and to defy both the congress and the american people of their obtaining them. Simple, they did not find that.
Ya see, in the Comey school of evidence theory regarding any establishment person, there is no chapter for circumstantial evidence or preponderance of suspicious circumstances. If his theory was applied to the RFK shooting, Sirhan would be exonorated, Nixon would be king, and Madoff would be selling IRAs at FBI headquarters.
