I don't — I expect them to be thinking that they can get away with it
and people will just forget/drop the issue, like with Justice Scalia. I expect them to think that their positions/preparations will protect them, should it come down to it.
I think they are severely underestimating how angry and disgusted people are; just like their economic model, people don't have feelings/motivations, but are just chess pieces to move around on their board. — If nothing else, the Podesta emails show just how insulated the elite are, and how they think they are above the consequence of actions.
All that said, just because they are perhaps overconfident does not mean that they aren't powerful, doesn't mean they aren't dangerous. If anything, the suspicious deaths around things that could hurt Hillary (eg Seth Rich) should prove that… and those deaths also show that there are things people consider worth killing over in play here.
Finally, given the willingness for the government's law enforcement
to roll over for the likes of Hillary, Obama, the Affordable Care Ac (insurance companies), etc, do you really think that assassination is outside the realm of possibility? — Simply put, they see themselves as untouchable; and we have taught them that they are by what we have considered sufferable.
They don’t consider how international politics will shift.
If you have investments in the US, in whom would you be more likely to have normal relations? Hillary or Trump?
Foreign power will be much more likely to use force against Hillary, than against Trump, as a simple matter or course.
They know that if she able to circumvent all forms of national governance, she won’t be trustworthy in any agreement.
