Former President Bill Clinton’s top aide wrote in 2012 that Chelsea Clinton used Clinton Foundation resources “for her wedding and life for a decade” and a top Foundation donor was responsible for “killing” unfavorable press coverage – all as an internal Foundation audit uncovered numerous conflicts of interest and “quid pro quo benefits,” according to emails released Sunday by WikiLeaks.
Doug Band, founder of global strategies company Teneo and Bill Clinton’s personal assistant since the 1990s, wrote the Jan. 4, 2012, email to future Hillary Clinton presidential campaign chair John Podesta and two other Clinton aides after receiving word that Chelsea had told “one of the [President] bush 43 kids” and others about “an internal investigation of money within the foundation.” Band wrote such chatter was “not smart.”
“The investigation into her getting paid for campaigning, using foundation resources for her wedding and life for a decade, taxes on money from her parents….,” Band wrote. “I hope that you will speak to her and end this[.] Once we go down this road….”

Did she pay taxes on the income/gift? It might be fun if Chelsea was the first to go to jail.
The Clintons and the in-laws were too cheap to pay for the wedding and scammed the money from the Foundation.
I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest that money might be involved.

Back when the Clintons moved to New York I read an article about the house they bought. It said the house was paid for by a check written on the Clinton Foundation. When I later went searching for that article I couldn’t find it. But intermixing personal and foundation finances is one way the IRS can use to rescind your tax exempt status and fine you.
According to the excerpts I’ve read from “Clinton Cash” that is only one of the laws they have flouted. (It’s good to be a Clinton. /s)
I see a different problem here.
Th first paragraph on their web site reads:
“We believe that the best way to unlock human potential is through the power of creative collaboration. That’s why we build partnerships between businesses, NGOs, governments, and individuals everywhere to work faster, leaner, and better; to find solutions that last; and to transform lives and communities from what they are today to what they can be, tomorrow.”

Just because it happens to be funds to their daughter was not mentioned anywhere or required to be different. So, by doing this, the only thing they are guilty of is they have created a Ponzi scheme. And its definition is a perfect fit: a form of fraud in which belief in the success of a nonexistent enterprise is fostered by the payment of quick returns to the first investors from money invested by later investors.

The only surprising thing is that she didn’t figure out some way to make the State Department pay for it with funds looted from the peasant taxpayers.

You’re right about the Clinton’s not spending their own money for 35 years. Who donates used underwear to charity for the tax write off!? Who does that?
I seem to remember their grifter financier, Terry "McAwful" McAuliffe, who ran off with the WorldCom money, paid the mortgage on behalf of the Clintons - for at least one of their mansions.
I have known people who bought a house for cash and then financed it at their leisure to get their cash back out. Like with Jimmy Carter the Secret Service pays rent equal to the mortgage.
How many more layers are to this onion?
I would suggest that we have only scratched the surface on hundreds of felony crimes. A better question is asking if anyone will officially peel away the layers to reveal the rot inside. So far, based on what we actually know, there are nothing more than “we have an investigation” from the FBI. We don’t know anything official from the IRS and anyone who understands tax laws and “charities” has to recognize the potential that every donation represents a tax crime. We don’t know the FEC violations, but anyone who recognizes campaign finance laws has to recognize the potential that there were dozens of violations of campaign law, especially the laws designed to keep foreign money out of our nations political campaigns.
The only things we know for sure right at this moment are that the FBI is continuing to investigate the prior investigation for national security and wikileaks is providing a road map.
Without search warrants of the foundation records and email accounts/devices as well as donor communications it will be a moot point. That is the way you show quid pro quo - you get the recipient and the donor.
This is one gigantic mess and regardless of the results on Tuesday it will continue to be a mess - with or without charges at the end of sewer pipe. Obama is embroiled in this also because some of the “pay to play” stuff could not have happened without White House consent. We know he is going to have his own foundation so one must ask “how many pledges for donations” have already been made by entities getting beneficial decisions or even contracts by our government?

What a mess. It took a criminal enterprise like Wikileaks to open the vault on the criminal enterprise called the US Government.
We know she did not pay taxes on the “gift”. The way their scheme worked removed any obligation for them to pay taxes.
