I heard this call. It was bizarre. Simone has been friends with Trump for years and is a big fan, but his interviews with pro-Clinton guests are generally conducted in a good-natured “let’s agree to disagree” spirit. In this case Dershowitz just jumped in with an anti-Trump rant. Mark only mentioned Lauriette University once and Dershowitz went bat-stuff crazy. He said he never heard of it and promptly hung up. He’s one of the most famous lawyers in the world and a Harvard law school professor. One would have expected such a widely respected lawyer to have debated the point in a mature and persuasive manner, or at least expressed curiosity, but he just bailed like a little baby. Pathetic.

That’s basically what I mean by “old school” - he’s the kind of guy with the facts and proper arguments behind him, but he works it in such an easy going manner. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the whole in-your-face, biting sarcasm as well (I’m also a HUGE Howie Carr fanatic), but I think Simone knows that his audience is filled with NY limousine libs, along with older conservatives. Best for ratings, and it’s kept him on the air for a very long time.

That all said, he must have drove Dershowitz nuts to get him to hang up... I actually missed this interview, even though I had been listening just up to it!!

Being the lawyer he is, he probably thought Simone was reeling him in, first with the fraudulent college and then hit him with his trips to Epstein’s island.
