Isn’t there something similar that has to do with the World Series — whether the National League or the American League wins in an election year? One league’s win = Dem, and the other league’s win = GOP?

It looks like it doesn’t always happen that way but American League often means Pubbie and National League means Dim. Cubs are in the National League.
