Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine on Thursday delivered what may be the first presidential campaign speech entirely in Spanish as part of Hillary Clintons push into traditionally Republican Arizona.
The senator from Virginia spoke entirely in Spanish for about half an hour to a small crowd in a largely Hispanic area of Phoenix. He touched on immigration reform, the economy and the importance of being inclusive. He also criticized Republican Donald Trumps comments about Latinos and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaios immigration raids.
With so much at stake for the Hispanic community, its important that our campaign use the language that so many families around the country use, Kaine said with a slight accent to a group of about 150.

Not “beso de la muerte”?
Did he use a TelePrompTer? He’ll, I can read Spanish all day. And I have been told I have an total lack of English accent. Of course the town I grew up in was about half Spanish. I heard it spoken daily the first couple decades of my life. Don’t ask me anything beyond where is the bathroom, though because I know how to suggest you do something terrible to your mother.
Pander, pander, pander. Hispanics are great, but people in the US should learn English.
