The LAT was basically covering their assets. Someone from their legal office reached out to HRM and made it perfectly clear that retaining a liability looking for a place to happen was probably not in the best interest of the stakeholders and shareholders.
This is yet another failure on the colleges that are producing these dolts who call themselves journalists.
The justifiable shock value on the face of the offending (and recently unemployed) “journalist” would have been absolutely delicious to observe.
