Hillary Clinton aides were so worried about Anthony Weiner that they hatched a plan in 2011 to bust in the house to rescue his wife from the pervy congressman, according to a new WikiLeaks email.
The plan was hatched in an email from Jennifer Palmieri, who is now the Clinton campaigns communications director, to fierce Clinton loyalists John Podesta and Neera Tanden. Time to get in the haz mat suits, Palmieri wrote on June 10, 2011.
Bust in that house and get Huma the hell out of there. Huma refers to Weiners wife, Huma Abedin, Clintons closest aide. Tanden, who worked for Clinton in the Senate and for her failed 2008 presidential campaign, replied, Lord have mercy.
The plan to rescue Abedin came at a time when her husband was under intense scrutiny for sending selfies of his bulging crotch to women on the internet while he was a sitting congressman. evidence had emerged in the Hillary Clinton email investigation. That evidence was on Anthony Weiners laptop, which he apparently shared with his wife Abedin. The FBI received that device in an investigation that began years later looking into Weiners alleged sexting with a 15-year-old girl.
