You hit on something I think the naive Christians can't grasp, and that is the protection money the Muslims collect from subjugated Jews and Christians, called the Jizya.
They believe they are entitled to it.
When the Muslims go into Kafir(infidel) countries like ours and Europe, and are received with open arms and money and other goodies, the naive Kafirs think the Muslim will show gratitude, and adapt to the naive Kafir's culture.
When it doesn't work out that way, the dumb naive Kafirs are puzzled.
The Kafirs better learn about the fundamentals of Islam, or they will be out-bred, and killed or subjugated and put under Sharia law. - Tom
