Neither of that laptop's owners currently possesses a security clearance for anything at all, and Huma has signed the customary debriefing documents stating that she turned over all classified material when Hillary left the office of Secretary of State in 2012. If it was last in Weiner's possession before the NYPD got it, he has one chance only to deflect blame, and that's in Huma's direction. Indeed, if it's State Department email as claimed, it's difficult to imagine it being on the laptop at all without her participation.

From this point of view, the contents don't matter at all so long as they are in fact classified. But for Hillary the contents matter very much, and she must be desperate to learn what those emails really are. If they show signs of criminal activity, such as bribery and influence peddling, they can be unclassified and still be damning.
