I wouldn’t even contest Virginia. Too many government workers voting their paychecks. Pennsylvania is closer and if Trump wins PA, he won’t need VA.

The only people voting for Hillary in VA are the lobbyists, there are a lot of them but definitely not over 50% of the population.

Trump needs to have his VP, his wife and kids, and himself appearing in every battleground state, every day from now until the election. That includes:

Virginia
Minnesota
Wisconsin (miracle Senate race too?)
Pennsylvania (at risk Senate race too!)
New Hampshire (at risk Senate race too!)
Michigan
Colorado (miracle Senate race too?)
Nevada (at risk Senate race too!)
North Carolina (at risk Senate race too!)
Florida (at risk Senate race too!)
Ohio
Arizona
Iowa

Some of those are at much less risk than others, but they should all have a Trump presence DAILY. Trump should personally appear in each one on at least briefly on two different days in the remaining week (three to four appearances a day??? Yep! Have surrogates and local figures do a 20-30 minute speech and Trump fly in to wrap up the last 15 minutes at each venue, staying on message with every word). Trump is great in person, but 15 minutes of Trump would be just as effective as 60 minutes of Trump and much easier to add an extra daily appearance.

I visualize “carpet bombing”. Trump surrogates are in four locations within a helicopter or quick airplane ride of each other. Trump times his flights to hit each 15 minutes into the speech. Trump relaxes for 15-25 minutes (so the crowd never has to wait for him!)), takes the stage for 15 minutes, and then flies out to the next venue, where his supporters are already speaking. Repeat. Hillary does not have the endurance to keep up with that. Trump may not either, but it’s only for one week.

D+6 sample with 28% independents even though Johnson and Stein pull in only a couple points each.
