“Leaving 650,000 emails lying around doesn’t sound like good spycraft.”

What if they put them/Huma accessed them on an unsecured machine on purpose? That way her handlers (Iran, MB, whoever) could hack the machine and access everything without her having to provide it to them.

Depends on how you look at things.

In some foreign intelligence circles, obtaining 650,000 emails and top secret documents and holding them for several years could be considered a pretty darn good days work.
