Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is redirecting his attention to traditionally Democratic states in the final days of the 2016 campaign in an urgent attempt to expand what for weeks has been an increasingly narrow path to victory.
Following FBI Director James B. Comeys surprise announcement Friday that the agency would once again examine emails related to Hillary Clintons time as secretary of state, Trump and his advisers see a fresh opportunity to make gains in states that most public polls have shown as out of reach. They spent the weekend deliberating ways to seize on what they see as a dramatic turn in the campaigns closing chapter and scramble the political map following a rough stretch beset by controversy.
Trump held rallies Sunday in Colorado and New Mexico, and he was scheduled to make two stops Monday in Michigan and visit Wisconsin the day after that.
Clinton, meanwhile, is focused on shoring up turnout and enthusiasm, particularly among minority voters, in such critical battlegrounds as North Carolina, Florida and Ohio. Early voting data from Ohio contains ominous signs of a lack of enthusiasm for Clinton, notably in places such as Clevelands Cuyahoga County, where high black turnout propelled President Obama to victory in 2008 and 2012.
As a result, Clintons campaign has launched an intensive effort to send her most popular surrogates, including the president, first lady Michelle Obama and rapper Jay Z, across the country.

“The latter being the same Jamie Gorelick of Waco fame.
Another unprosecuted Clintonite.”
Exactly.
I lost a lot of respect for Tom Ridge and the whitewash job the ‘9/11 Commission’ did when they went out of their way to make sure she escaped prosecution.
Very much like the kind of protection Lois Lerner got more recently.
And heavy on the gin...
Trump is on offense - all over the place, as he usually is, with a flurry of activity.
The Wicked Witch is on defense - and not doing much campaigning (I know, “so what’s new about that?”).
Bottom line: when one side is on O, and the other one can barely scrape together a pathetic defense, the game is OVER. Dems and Never Trumpers (but I repeat myself) need to get ready for 8 years of “President Donald J. Trump.”
The schaedenfreud is just going to be delicious, about on par with November of 1980!
Tucker Carlson said that without NC, Trump loses. Fox and Friends this morning,
You beat me to the punch - I DESPISE Jamie Gorelick, with a passion. I hope that AG Guiliani and his staff can find SOMETHING to make her life a living Hell, followed by a long, free stay at the Graybar Hotel for this utter traitor.
“It looks like a democratic fantasy island.
They show the following as tossups: Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina and Utah.
Leans Clinton in Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire and Wisconsin.
Favored Clinton in New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Virginia.”
Not as many Trump signs as I'd expect, but a double-handful.
Hillary! came to speak locally, and half-filled a conference room at a college. BO came, and half-filled a 7000-seat amphitheater. Trump came, and filled the amphitheater, along with a massive overflow.
This is in Greensboro, not exactly a conservative bastion. I'm not too worried about NC, bluntly expect Trump to win by 10 or so.
Barack going to Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida on 1st, 2nd and third, respectively.
Don’t mistake anti Union to be something directed at Union members.
I’m married to an amazing teacher’s union member who’s smart, articulate and more conservative than many here.
The same is true of other conservative people who work for government. Many many straight up folks there.
Liberals usually don’t like to work, are in jail or are attorneys (kidding)
I worked as CFO for a public employees union for ten years. I got quite a political education there. I think the main difference is between public and private unions. The public employees can basically hire their own bosses and contract negotiators by getting them elected with their powerful PACS and lobbyists. The unions and those politicians do not have to consider keeping a business open as the only profit to be made is off the taxpayers. If the taxpayers revolt, they threaten to fire police, firefighters and teachers, and to cut services for the poor, and they win.
Trump will win NC easily.
