A central Florida newspaper has apologized to its readers for the decidedly anti-Donald Trump coverage that has been published during the election.
The Daily Commercial published an editorial titled “The media, the election and bias” on Oct. 23 that explained the paper is reliant on wire services for much of its election coverage and those reports are weighted heavily against Trump.
“The Daily Commercial hasn’t done enough to mitigate the anti-Trump wave in the pages of this paper,” it wrote. “You deserve a more balanced approach to the coverage of elections and other weighty issues.”

I followed the link all the way back to the original “open letter” and sure enough, it too engaged in Trump bashing, and insults directed to him. It does mention that their readers have been calling and writing to them about their bias, and it took them to within a week of the election to come up with this rather insulting drivel.

When they confess they have looked at the early voting results in Florida and figured out Trump was going to sweep Florida—and that is why they are changing their tune—then they will re-establish their credibility.

Sounds like their readership tanked (which they probably don’t mind directly) but as a result their ad revenue tanked (and they mind that very much).

We had no idea that Trump’s deplorables could even read our newspaper, let alone cancel their subscriptions!
Probably NOT JUST subscription cancellations, but also calls and emails to advertisers that they are on a blacklist by concerned consumers.
