What really shook me up was after I plotted/posted the numbers I glanced at the projected spending levels for the next few years. Seems that the plan is to take the all time low 16% for 2015 and grind it down to 12% over the next 4 years.

I understand their feeling is that poor Americans would be better off if we spent money on welfare programs, but imho the poor would eventually be a lot worse off if the U.S. gov't failed to defend them from foreign attacks.
